How We Fund the Gathering

A genuine culture of peace cannot be built on competition or transaction. Instead, Rolling Peace Gatherings relies on a simple circle of mutual support—where every gift directly breathes life back into the community. To ensure complete transparency and honor our shared values, all financial contributions flow through three clear pillars.

In the tradition of the ancient teachers who carried a simple bowl and trusted in the kindness of the world, we are practicing a new relationship with money. This role is not about corporate sponsorship; it is about the sacred art of allowing the bowl to fill. You are the steward of the harvest that buys back our neighbors' time, freeing them from the capitalistic matrix so they can focus on what makes them happy. Your Mission: The Sacred Offering: You carry the "offering plate" with the same dignity as one who carries a monk's bowl. You manage the gifts from everyday people who are ready to invest in a neighborhood of love rather than a system of survival. Buying Back Time: You help the community understand that every gift is a direct contribution to "buying back" the lives of our Peace Builders. You translate dollars into hours of freedom, showing how we are relieving neighbors of the commute so they can return to their families, their gardens, and their joy. The Voice of the Victory: You are the storyteller of abundance. You regularly share "Victory Reports"—narratives and blogs of the miracles that occur when we trust the community to meet our needs. Protecting the Stillness: By handling the financial pulse of the project with joy, you create the "stillness" that allows our Seminar Guide Practitioners to remain fully present in their hearts and their work. "We don't work for money; we work for Peace, and we trust the bowl to fill. You are the steward of the gratitude that proves when we take care of the neighborhood, the neighborhood takes care of us."

1. The Traditional Alms Bowl
The Spiritual First-Fruit

The Practice: When our community gathers physically, funds are collected through a traditional, communal passing of the bowl.

The Principle: Spiritual nourishment is our highest collective value, not an afterthought. We believe those who feed us spiritually must be sustained first. Before a single dollar is touched for administrative costs, building supplies, or logistics, our spiritual guides and educators are taken care of. This is our practical, living bow of gratitude.

2. The Living Book & The Sacred Store
The Community Engine

The Practice: Our website's blog, Sowing Stillness, serves as a living archive where neighbors share their personal journeys. Every few months, these beautiful stories are compiled into a physical volume called The Living Book of Rolling Peace, which will be available in our online store alongside community-crafted goods.

The Principle: The community’s creative expression literally funds our shared peace efforts. We aren't asking for corporate handouts or charity; we are simply turning our shared stories into the financial engine that keeps these gatherings rolling forward.

 3.  Sustaining the 14 Ground Crew Jobs
The Harvest

The Practice: The central pool of funds generated by the Sacred Store is used exclusively to provide basic sustenance for our 14 paid community leads (such as the Volunteer Coordinator, Resource Steward, and Neighborhood Leads).

The Principle: A movement cannot thrive on empty stomachs or burnout. To build a lasting culture of peace, the hands doing the heavy lifting must be supported. We choose the path of independent, community-driven funding—turning our shared stories and collective efforts into a self-sustaining engine that keeps these gatherings rolling permanently

The Resource Commons
Sowing Local Soil

The Practice:  A portion of all abundance generated remains locked within the local soil where a gathering takes place. These resources are directly converted into shared neighborhood tools, community garden seeds, and local resource-sharing infrastructure.

The Principle: Wealth generated by a neighborhood should stay in the neighborhood. By feeding the local soil directly, we ensure that every gathering leaves a community more self-reliant, connected, and resilient than we found it.

Time as Currency
Labor of Love

The Practice: We deeply honor non-monetary contributions. Neighbors can contribute their presence, specialized skills, or physical resources—whether that means offering four hours of logistics coordination, cooking a meal, or lending a truck to move supplies.

The Principle: Time and presence are currencies of equal value to a dollar. In a true community, everyone has something of immense value to offer, and pouring your unique energy into the collective bowl is what truly keeps this movement alive.

Visionary Pathways
Intentional Paths of Abundance

To keep our energy focused and purposeful, we invite you to step into the circle through a specific, guided path of support. Rather than generic contributions, your choice directly fuels a tangible piece of our shared peace infrastructure:

Sustain a Ground Crew Member

The Impact: Your support directly provides basic sustenance for one of our 14 dedicated operational leads (such as our Volunteer Coordinator or Resource Steward) for a week or a month, ensuring our infrastructure remains stable and focused.

Fund a Neighborhood Training Package

The Impact: Your investment fully purchases the physical curriculum, materials, and toolkits needed to safely spark a brand-new Gathering in a brand-new town, expanding the circle of stillness.
